I am left speechless at the love and beauty that waltzed their way into my yard, my home and my life this weekend. Speechless....but let me try to put this into words, and pictures for you.
The first wave of people rolled in on Friday night. Sweet sweet friends and family setting up, slicing strawberries, testing the sound system....and so it began. Neighbors brought over tents and tables, dropped off hogs, and babysat the beer in their walk-in coolers. I sat on the hill and listened to The Webbs do a little set for me...just for me, and the crickets, and the sunset.
Saturday dawned glorious. The field filled with the smell of piggy, and the beautiful people started pulling in, one after another. God Love the Canasta's and The Webbs for playing before dinner. It was balls out hot as hell, and they were still magical, and really kicked off the 2nd annual Cesarz Hootananny Pig Roast with a jump jivin' BANG!
And, the rest of the night followed suit. Yesterday is what summer is all about for Joe and I. Friends, community, enjoying each other for hours on end. Laughing. Dancing. There are always a few wild cards that walk up my lawn, a few old friends that are at once part of my life again. I am so very humbled and grateful that you spent a beautiful Saturday with us...onto the pictures!
